The -3 engine is a 6 cylinder horizontal opposed, fuel injected, supercharged tractor. It has a service life of 1400 hours before overhaul. Beechcraft and Aerocommander made wide use of this engine. The engine on display here is the same as used in the Beechcraft RU8D aircraft (Lonely Ringer). Fuel burn is approximately 28 gallons per hour and the engine produces 340HP at 3,400 RPM.
