The display unit was built under license by the Packard Motorcar Company of Detroit, MI. It is a Model V-1850-1, V-12 cylinder, liquid cooled with 1,400-1,675 HP. A proven design, the Merlin engine was used on the P-51-B "Mustang" (and later aircraft) during the darkest days for the US in WWII.
